Partnering Communities

A note about Covid-19 coverage – our goal during this pandemic is to continue to provide emotional support and vetted resources to those who have lost a loved one to suicide while maintaining compliance to Massachusetts guidelines and recommendations in reference to Covid-19. Until these restrictions are lifted, in-person visits have been suspended.

The following towns are supported by LOSSteam MetroWest:

Ashland, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Sherborn, and Sudbury

In-person visits will resume in these towns once Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted. In the meantime, we provide immediate crisis support via phone, text, zoom or email and offer expedited delivery of resource materials.

Franklin, Framingham, Medway, Natick, Northborough, Southborough, Watertown, and Westborough

With in-person visits on hold and distance barriers removed, we’re able to expand our coverage to provide immediate virtual support to these towns that are outside our official service area. These communities all participate in the Jail Diversion Program, founded on the understanding that by working together, clinicians and law enforcement can respond most appropriately to the needs of individuals in the community who are in crisis. The JDP Clinicians are often the first responders on-scene who initiate the activation of our Team.

"LOSSteam MetroWest has been an invaluable resource to the Advocates Co-Response Jail Diversion team. Our clinicians Co-Respond to calls for service with our police partners to provide on scene de-escalation, crisis management, stabilization, assessment, and connection to services/resources. One of the hardest calls we respond to with the police is death notifications where someone has died by suicide. We certainly do our best to provide empathy and support to family members and loved ones in these situations, but LOSSteam MetroWest is such a vital resource for families dealing with such a traumatic loss. LOSSteam members have also lost loved ones to suicide and sharing their lived experience can be so powerful in helping families with eulogy writing, funeral arrangements, and finding support groups. Additionally, LOSSteam MetroWest gives our clinicians peace of mind that the family will have support in the hours and days that follow the death of their loved ones when they are no longer able to remain on scene. We are truly grateful for our partnership with LOSSteam MetroWest and look forward to our continued collaboration in supporting those in our communities impacted by suicide."
